Mr. Burgess, a native Virginian, received his undergraduate degree in political science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia Continuing his education, he graduated Cum Laude from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida.

While in law school, Mr. Burgess achieved academic excellence. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Florida Coastal Law Review and was consistently acknowledged as a Dean's Scholar, graduating in the Top 4% of his class. Mr. Burgess received a Book Award for his detailed analytical essay on Florida strict products liability, and his article on Florida 's Opportunity Scholarship Program received publication in the Florida Coastal Law Review.

Mr. Burgess has experience in civil litigation. Prior to joining the Arnold Law Firm, he served as a summer associate for Cooper, Ridge & Lantinberg, P.A. in Jacksonville , Florida Also, prior to attending law school, Mr. Burgess worked as a paralegal for McGuireWoods LLP in Richmond, Virginia.

Mr. Burgess concentrates his practice in the areas of civil and bankruptcy litigation as well as business and commercial law.
