Charges Dropped against Jacksonville Business Man
July 08, 2009
Topic: Criminal
Today, the State dropped charges against a client whom was accussed of taking in excess of $300,000 from a former business partner. This long matter was finally brought to a close. The events happened in 2003, the alleged victim filed a civil lawsuit in 2004 and the client was incredibly arrested for this business dispute in 2007. Nearly two years, boxes of exhibits, and hundreds of hours of work latter, the charges were properly dropped against the client. The criminal and civil cases were hampered by the actions of the alleged victim, who misled investigators, played games with the court system by constantly changing attorneys, and declaring bankruptcy to avoid a judgment being entered in the client's favor on the civil case. However, the client's long nightmare is finally over after the very wise decision by the State to dismiss the charges.
If you are accussed of theft, our attorneys can put their experience to work for you. An arrest does not mean a conviction.
